SSU students win poster awards at Celebration of Scholarship

Students at Shawnee State University submitted posters and won several awards during the Celebration of Scholarship in April.

Three judges used a rubric that listed five categories and five possible scores from one to five. The categories were poster content, level of scholarship, visually aesthetic, grammar and how the student answered relevant questions about his/her project.

Kenneth Livingston, Ashley Sanders and Julia Steinhauer, early childhood majors, won the SSU Faculty Award for "Wired Up, Wound Down: Music as an Educational Tool." The poster was about the value of music throughout the day to enhance brain development, strengthen learning and manage learning environments.
