The Department of Teacher Education offers two associate degree programs leading to professional licensure.  The Early Childhood Development program is a two-year program for candidates who wish to teach in pre-kindergarten settings.  Graduates of this program are not eligible for teaching at the kindergarten or early primary grades.  The Paraprofessional Educator program prepares candidates to work effectively as an instructional aide in all educational settings.  A solid foundation in the general knowledge, human development, and professional education areas give candidates the knowledge, skills, and dispositions necessary to be effective participants in K-12 educational settings.
