Development Foundation Scholarships
2010-2011 Academic Year

Through the generosity of others, Shawnee State University has the ability to offer a number of scholarships.  Some scholarships are based on academic ability and individual achievement, while others are based on financial need. Most of these scholarship funds are administered through the Development Foundation and the Scioto Foundation. Click here for a complete listing of the scholarships available.

Applying for Development Foundation Scholarships at Shawnee State University

There are four steps a student must complete in order to apply for Development Foundation scholarships at Shawnee State University. 

  • Apply for admission to Shawnee State University.

  • Submit grade point average and ACT/SAT scores (if high school senior).

  • Submit the scholarship application by February 15, 2010.  It is available online or in the Financial Aid Office.  

  • Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with EFC number by February 15, 2010 for need-based scholarship awards.

Announcements for most recipients will be on or around March 31, 2010.

Scholarship funds are applied to the recipient’s account in semester installments. Unless otherwise specified, a minimum enrollment of 12 credit hours per semester and continuous attendance is required for Development Foundation scholarships.

The Scholarship Deadline has passed. Any scholarship applications received after February 15, 2010 will be considered for second round scholarships.
