Special education professionals are committed to developing the highest
educational and quality of life potential of individuals with
exceptionalities. To that end, the Intervention Specialist programs at Shawnee State prepare teacher candidates to meet the needs of those individuals with exceptionalities by providing a quality program that meets the high standards set by the Council for Exceptional Children, the Ohio Department of Education, and the SSU Department of Teacher Education five domains of teacher capacity.
