Senior Survey

The Senior Survey is administered to seniors during Senior Seminar, the capstone course for the General Education Program. This survey gives us an idea of how well the program is addressing its goals via student opinion. One of the most useful portions of the survey is the written section. In particular, the question that asks students to list three goals of the program has given us an interesting perspective concerning the level of student satisfaction with the program. The results from this question prompted the Faculty Senate to approve a policy that each syllabus for a course in the General Education Program must include a statement that outlines how the course addresses goals of the program. The aim of this policy was to increase students' familiarity with the program and its goals.
