People with degrees in the mathematical sciences enter a wide variety of professions, including careers in business and finance, computer science, law, industry, and education.  The National Association of Colleges and Employers reports starting salary offers for math majors with bachelor's degrees average about $37,300 per year.  The mathematical sciences major prepares students for careers in which analytic, problem solving, and quantitative skills are of central importance.

The study of mathematics is an appropriate foundation the pursuit of a master's or doctorate degree in a variety of areas, including business administration, computer science,  economics, engineering, law, and medicine.  Students from our program have entered graduate programs in biostatistics, computer science, education, mathematics, and meteorology.
