The First Responder, EMT-Basic, EMT-Intermediate, EMT-Paramedic training programs have received accreditation from the Ohio Department of Public Safety, Division of Emergency Medical Services, accreditation number 325.

The Emergency Medical Technology Program at Shawnee State University is an approved training center for:

• The National Safety Council: First Aid, CPR, First Responder
• American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons & American College of Emergency Physicians: First Aid, CPR,
