Clear Prose Sometimes writers accidentally write indirect or evasive sentences when they are trying to sound particularly sophisticated or educated. Chapter 43 ("Clear and Emphatic Sentences") of The Longman Concise Companion suggests ways you can edit your sentences to make sure that your prose is clear and memorable. |
