Your orientation sessions are designed to help you become successful at SSU and encourage you to become an active participant in your education. Because your success is important to us, we require all entering students to attend one of the scheduled registration and advising session. Trained student orientation leaders and staff are on hand to help you adjust to all aspects of college life and to assist you with any concerns that you may have. What you need to do before your scheduled orientation:

• Complete your application for admissions and FAFSA
• Take your placement exam or use your ACT/SAT scores to waive placement.
• Submit an official copy of your high school transcript, either by having it mailed or faxed directly from the high school, or hand-carried to the Office of Admission in a sealed envelope signed by your high school guidance counselor. The transcript must include an official graduation date.
