Shawnee State University offers the Postsecondary Options Program (POP) to academically advanced high school students. This opportunity is available to ninth, tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grade high school students who meet the eligibility criteria for acceptance.

It is important to Shawnee State that you are successful in your Postsecondary Options Program. By participating in this program, you will be challenged in the classroom and in social responsibility.

If accepted into the program, you will be invited to a POP orientation session held in late summer and to POP workshops designed to help you get the most from your college experience.

Students must meet both criteria (So, Jr, Sr) – Fr must meet Placement criteria and have support of the high school.

      1.
Place into college level coursework in math and English (via SSU Placement Test or have an ACT of 19 (English) & 18 (Math).

 2.   High School grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
