The AmeriCorps program, often referred to as "national service" gives you the opportunity to do meaningful community service in the areas of education, human needs, public safety and the environment in exchange for post high school education tuition assistance.

Signed into law in 1993, this program helps get things done in our communities while, at the same time, providing money for college and other post-secondary schooling. This year, about 20,000 AmeriCorps Members nationwide will hit the streets, making a lasting, meaningful impact on our communities.
