Standout Athlete
Lenier Crawford knew what he wanted out of his college experience — a good education that would lead to a career in the health field, a competitive soccer program that would allow him to continue to play a game he has loved since the age of 5, and a place where he could make real connections with professors and students. He also knew what he didn't want — to graduate with more debt than he could possibly repay.
Shawnee State University's small class sizes, academic and athletic programs, and low tuition stood out.
Lenier is one of more than 4,600 students who have chosen to be a part of the growing Shawnee State University community. With 13 intercollegiate men's and women's athletic teams, active intramural sports programs, and over 45 clubs and organizations based on majors, interests, diversity, religious beliefs, and political affiliations, every student can feel at home at Shawnee State.
